A Florida roofing contractor: from almost invisible to #1 in the Map Pack

Package

Where the business started

A skilled local roofer with happy customers was losing work to bigger, better-known competitors. It averaged 3 to 4 phone inquiries a week, mostly small repairs that paid little.

The website had thin content and few links, and the Google Business Profile was incomplete, with very few reviews. Larger companies with longer histories held the local results.

What was done

  1. 1. Searches by service and place

We targeted searches that pair a service with a town or neighborhood, the way homeowners actually type them, instead of broad terms the roofer couldn't win.

  2. 2. A rebuilt Google Business Profile

The profile was rebuilt from the ground up: geo-tagged photos, a detailed services list and complete information.

  3. 3. Citations

Listings on the home-service directories (Yelp, Angi, Houzz among them) were built and cleaned up so every one matched.

  4. 4. Reviews and local links

A simple process for asking customers for Google reviews, and links from local sources such as community blogs and regional business associations.

The same four steps, in the same order, start every package.

What a chiropractic practice can take from it

A roofer is not a chiropractor, and we say so plainly. We show this one because the work behind it is exactly the work every one of our packages includes: the Google profile, the listings and a review process, before a single link.

For a practice, the profile work maps one to one: the right primary category, a real services list, office photos without patients, correct hours. The listings are health and insurance directories instead of home-service ones. The review process must ask every patient the same way, as Google's policy requires, and replies must stay within HIPAA.

The same work comes in every package; see local SEO for chiropractors. Other results: the Texas personal injury law firm and the California window tinting company.
